- Hethersett Fire Station started life as a truly part-time Fire Station operating from some near derelict outbuildings at the rear of the Norfolk Fire Service H.Q. site. It was crewed “9 to 5” five days a week by personnel based on site in various capacities from Fire Safety Officers to Garage Mechanics. The very first appliance was an old Commer.
